This painting is of Longs Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado with Chasm Lake in the foreground. It was my first experience climbing and summiting a Colorado 14'er (mountain greater than 14,000ft) by foot and one of my favorite places in the state. It was also my first oil painting (on canvas panel) and first landscape.
