This is my second oil painting after Longs Peak Sunrise. It took living in Colorado for close to 7 years before I finally got to visit Maroon Bells in person. It's an amazing place and it was a fun challenge to paint it. It started out as an acrylic painting but that medium didn't do it justice, so I used the acrylic as my underpainting and switched to oil.
