I went to the Verde River yesterday, far south of Waterwheel. There were perfect little stepping stones, which I used to cross and found a spot to paint them. Spring has arrived here, and the buffalo grass is super bright green. The nesting pair of black hawks flew over head, making their musical duet to the sound of the bubbling water... What a nice, spring day.
