This large studio painting was based on a small plein air pastel. It depicts a view from the alley way next to my studio and family home in Wyalusing,PA. I grew up here and so I have many memories of this lane. My ancestors built the house on this lane back in 1860, so there is a family history here too. I liked the abstract geometric quality of the towels that served as place for the light to be showcased. The fellow mowing the lawn added a figurative element to the view.
