Red Poppies

This is an abstract watercolor. What inspired me to paint this was a walk along the bayou and all the amazing colors of weeds and flowers. They are hidden sometimes. Sometimes you see them sometimes you don't. The poppies here were masked with masking tape. The background was done using wet on wet color splashes. When the painting was complete, A glaze was added in geometric design.
